Toyota 0w-8 motor oil

New XLE owner here. A quick question about the oil. Has anyone been able to acquire the 0w-8 oil from Toyota? I called all the dealers around here and none of them have heard of the new 0w-8 oil for these Crowns. Closest they had was 0w-16. They check their inventories and have nothing. Thanks.

Hey @TC_B congratulations getting your Crown and welcome to the forum! I haven't tried to reach out to a dealer yet for oil but you can get 0w-8 oil from other places at least.

Are you looking to change your oil already?

Thanks. The vehicle is actually for my wife. I was just being proactive and wanted to change the oil at 1000 miles. I see that Motul has that oil weight but Toyota recommends their oil. Would it void the warranty?
