When I had my Crown serviced recently, they were pushing to sell trucks. I got a letter in the mail asking if I wanted to sell my Crown. Threw it in the bin. I'm quite happy with the Crown (2024 Limited with Tech package). I intend to keep it for a long time. I think the tarrif issue will work itself out. Give it some time.

I asked my dealer about the qty of Crowns coming in with allocations and it was zero.
I just bought a Platinum end of December and glad I did.
I was going to wait until 2026 and buy one.
Anyway,
Toyota does not expect to get the 2026 Crowns until end of year or 2027.
I suspect since only about 19k were sent to USA in 2023 and 2024 that the number will be signia less in 2025.
I wonder how many Platinums even exist in the USA.
Seems the Crown could be rarer than before.
Good or bad only time will tell.
I’ll keep mine and get a new one in 2027 because I put a lot of miles on my car.
Just too fun to drive!

This is the Crown Signia sub-forum.

Drivetrains on the xle/limited Signias and xle/limited Crown sedans are identical. Ditto with the interiors from the rear seats forward, dash screens and their software. Only difference is cosmetics of outer plastic and sheet meta panels. So what's the big deal, what affects one likely affects the other.

Controls and rides are identical. Sometimes I forget whether I'm driving the sedan or the crossover and have to look if the hood is black or bronze find out which.

They're good for a couple of years so as far as transportation, tariffs don't concern me at all.

A majority would mean winning more than 50% of the total votes cast, he did not he won 49.8% so he was close. Kamala Harris won 48.3, so 1.9% went to third party candidates, and that means that 50.2% voted for Kamala and third party candidates, total votes for someone other than Trump 50.2%.

In 2020 Joe Biden won the majority, the popular vote and the EC, of the total votes cast with 51.3% to Trump's 46.8 so there you go.

we made a poll on which flavor is the best flavor of ice cream

Strawberry got 49%
Rocky Road got 48%
Other got 3%

So Rocky road is the most popular because if you combine it with other it is 51%

You hear your logic you imbecile?

I thought all crowns were built in Japan. This is what I have read and my wife’s vin on her crown platinum starts with letter J. it would seem to make most sense to disperse the tariff cost among all models. Thus, preventing any one model to rise significantly.

So has anyone purchased their Crown (sedan or wagon) where it came to port after “Liberation Day”?, where the vehicle would be subject to the big beautiful tariffs? If so, what happened once the vehicle made it to your dealer?

My CS was due to arrive at port on 4/11, and be released from port on 4/24. No idea if it actually made it to port yet or not since customers can no longer track a car by VIN.

The risk is that if Toyota raises the prices on high-volume vehicles that largely are unaffected by the tariffs (RAV4, Camry, Highlander) to offset the costs of high tariffs on J-VIN vehicles like the Crown/CS, do they risk losing sales because of the higher prices to things like the CR-V, Accord, Pilot?

Maybe Toyota looks at it and says, the Crown/CS are low-volume cars, they’d rather just have those vehicles absorb the tariff, or just stop importing them all together.

I know Toyota said they weren’t going to raise prices for the time being, but I think that’s just while they figure out what to do. Once they have a clear direction, either prices will go up because of the tariffs, or they just stop importing vehicles that aren’t worth it, reducing customer’s choices.

Could be it is at port but yet in the containers. I believe it was about Mercedes, that they stopped the unloading of its cars until further clarity of tariffs.

i put my offer in and left deposit with dealer prior to the tariffs and the automobile came in to port after the tariffs began. my price did not increase. I don't know whether that was due to the dealer's commitment to our negotiated deal or Toyota's apparent commitment not to raise the price of their imported vehicle.

Glad to hear your vehicle pricing didn’t change post Liberation Day.

When you placed your deposit, were you given dates of when the vehicle would arrive in port, and when it was expected to leave port for your dealer?

If so, how accurate was the timing you were told at the time of your deposit vs receiving the car?

They initially only provided a delivery date - as in the date I would be able to pickup the Crown CS at the dealership. That date was dead on accurate. My dealer also stayed in touch about 10 days prior to the delivery date with almost daily updates showing handful of milestones with ETAs: the vehicle at port, on the truck, etc. He would provide screenshots of timeline with ETAs from their delivery dashboard. They were great at keeping me informed and setting expectation.

Good to hear.

I reached out to my dealer and they’re saying the expected delivery date is anywhere from the 22nd-29th, which is pretty good considering the original estimated delivery date was anytime after the 24th.

Picked up my CS last night, which arrived to port on April 11 (after the tariffs went into effect), and there was no added fee. Still the price we agreed to back before the tariffs went into effect.

I did end up getting an extra $1000 on my trade in, because the value had increased over the last month (likely due to the tariffs), so that was a nice bonus.

Congratulations and an excellent last minute gift. Enjoy your new CS.

BTW, I read that , last week, car tariffs have been relaxed on certain situations, like parts crossing the borders many times, paying only once the tariffs.

I doubt they are sending any Crowns to the port right now. A 14k tariff on a Platinum is too much to absorb and they are not into losing money. I think this year, they have only sold about 2400 crowns so 2025 cars are a little rare. I bet the tariff thing gets resolved eventually. I just hope Toyota decided to send us more Crowns after that. My dealer told me that they do not see any 2025 Crowns coming in so what is on the lot is it for now.
Crazy days......sure glad I have my car..... I love it too much. In fact, I love it more than my hubby... He is in second place now.....:)
